A rich and refined after-dinner sipper, the Aussie way
If you're looking to add a little old-world charm to your evening drink, Marionette Nocino is the bottle you want within arm’s reach. This was one of the stars in our August Elix-Elite Cocktail Club box — and for good reason.
Made from green walnuts harvested in December from orchards in the Yarra Ranges, this classic Italian liqueur gets a uniquely Australian upgrade. Toasted wattleseed and lemon myrtle give the dark, nutty base a soft chocolate tone, a touch of citrus lift, and a distinctive bushland edge.
Crafted by Melbourne-based Marionette Liqueurs, this Nocino is the result of years of experimentation, collaboration, and a deep love for flavour. Their version was developed alongside World Class Bartender of the Year 2018 Orlando Marzo, and it shows — the balance is spot on. It’s warm, sweet, woody, and slightly bitter, with just enough complexity to keep you coming back for more.
Whether you’re using it to upgrade your Negroni, giving your affogato a twist, or simply pouring it over ice with a slice of orange, Marionette Nocino delivers.

Why We Love It
We’ve seen a lot of Nocinos over the years, but this one is special. It feels grown-up and grounded in tradition — but still playful, proudly local, and full of flavour.
Marionette doesn’t just make liqueurs — they make collaborations with the best in the business, and you can taste that shared passion in every bottle. The Nocino is one of their standout creations, and we're proud to have featured it in our August box
