Big flavour, a little drama, and a very good excuse to chill a glass
This month, we’re bringing in a proper crowd-pleaser with our riff on a Porn Star Martini, a cocktail that’s fruity, silky, vanilla-laced, and made to feel just a bit special. It’s built around King Island Distillery Martha’s Moonshine, Hartshorn Distillery Vanilla Whey Liqueur, passionfruit, lemon, and a cheeky side of prosecco.
It’s fun, it’s bold, and honestly, it feels like the kind of drink that turns a normal night into a much better one.
What’s in April’s kit?
At the heart of this month’s box is Martha’s Moonshine from King Island Distillery — a bold little wildcard made using Australian barley. It brings soft grainy warmth, a touch of sweetness, and enough personality to stand up in a cocktail without taking it over. The tasting notes call out biscuity malt, honey, pear drop, and aniseed, giving it more character than your standard white spirit.
Backing that up is Hartshorn Distillery Vanilla Whey Liqueur, a rich vanilla liqueur made with Tasmanian whey. It’s creamy, silky, and full of vanilla and caramel notes — basically the kind of bottle that makes a cocktail feel a little more decadent the second it lands in the glass.
Then you bring in the passionfruit pulp, a touch of lemon juice, and prosecco on the side, and suddenly April is looking very good indeed.

Corn Star Martini

This is one of those cocktails that feels fancy without being hard work. It’s bright and fruity from the passionfruit, rounded out with creamy vanilla notes, and lifted with a little citrus to keep everything fresh. Then, just to make the whole thing more fun, it gets served with a side shot of prosecco.
It’s part dessert, part party, and somehow still feels balanced.
Recipe:
40 ml King Island Distillery Martha’s Moonshine
20 ml Hartshorn Distillery Vanilla Whey Liqueur
30 ml passionfruit pulp
5 ml lemon juice
30 ml prosecco
Garnish with half a passionfruit and a cherry
How to make it:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add Martha’s Moonshine, Vanilla Whey Liqueur, passionfruit pulp, and lemon juice. Shake hard for 15 seconds, then fine strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Pour the prosecco into a small shot glass and serve it on the side with a cherry. Garnish the cocktail with half a fresh passionfruit placed on top. Sip the cocktail, then enjoy the prosecco alongside it.
It’s smooth, fruity, creamy, and just a little over the top in the best possible way.
